MUSEUM VACANCY

WEEKEND RECEPTIONIST (part-time)

Tairāwhiti Museum is a much-loved organisation within Gisborne, committed to developing and sharing the unique stories of Te Tairāwhiti through its exhibitions, events and educational programmes.

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and positive ‘people person’ to join the museum as one of a team of weekend receptionists.  The successful candidate will be the face of the museum so an enthusiastic, friendly attitude is essential.

To be successful in this role you will have high professional standards, initiative, reliability and sound computer and organisational skills.  Previous customer service or visitor host experience is preferred, but most importantly you will have an interest in museums and art galleries, and a willingness to go the extra mile to provide a fantastic experience for our visitors.

This position is for 10.5 hours every second weekend.

 Applications close 4pm Friday 24 April 2015.
