The Friends of Tairāwhiti Museum holds the right of appointment of four trustees to the board and are seeking applications from the community for this position.

You don’t need to be a current member of the Friends of the Museum to apply and no governance experience is necessary. We welcome applications from younger people who would like the opportunity to be involved in the governance of the museum and gain experience sitting on a trust board.

This position is not remunerated and requires attendance at board meetings every two months.
