Photo Archives

The photographic collection houses thousands of images documenting many categories of life and times in the Tairawhiti region.

Education Service

The Ministry of Education contracts the Tairawhiti Museum to provide a learning experience outside the classroom for primary, intermediate and secondary students in the East Coast region.

Cafeteria

The Exhibit Café is open for lunches, brunches, morning and afternoon teas. A wide menu is available and changes with the seasons.


Opening Hours Are: 10.00am to 3.30pm. Monday to Friday
