Peter Ireland 

Peter Ireland was born at Hokitika in 1947. Peter has been painting seriously since 1970. An artist of strong convictions, strong curatorial skills and an immense wealth of photographic knowledge. He lived in Gisborne from 1983-1995 then relocated to Wanganui to take up the Tylee House, Artist-in-Residence 1995/96.
