Photography

Compared to the museum's photographic archives the fine arts photographic collection is minuscule but still noteworthy. In 1995 the Gisborne Camera Club gifted 57 silver gelatin prints by local photographers Alan Lindsay Gordon and Bruce Dallas to the museum.

Alan Lindsay Gordon

Alan ran a professional photographic business, in the 1940s situated at the Bank of New Zealand chambers on Gladstone Road. He was also a very active member of the Gisborne Camera Club. Alan received many awards from national and international photographic salons in which he participated.
